An IntroductionThe Savile (pr. Sav-ill) is an edited archive of the best emerging and established people, places and products. This space is devoted to identifying all things well made and well offered - admiring all those dedicated to the process of producing good. Whether those offerings are classic, current or simply loved, our focus lies in their particularities and the narratives that precede them. Using this as our basis, we deliver tailored briefings in the form of a monthly issue and daily reports with plans for The Savile Quarterly - our first foray into print.

After spending half of his life in Singapore, Mike returned to Montreal to earn his bachelor’s from McGill and graduate degree from Concordia in Communications. Combining his experience in journalism, travel and videography, Mike brings with him a host of different perspectives and expertise as a contributing writer for The Savile in addition to assisting his wife with the ever-present Lake Jane blog.
We are always looking for intern-contributing writers.
Candidates must be motivated and dedicated with a good command of the English language, a camera and a love for covering people, places and products that fit The Savile’s brand and aesthetic. If you fit the bill, we would love to hear from you.
Drop us a line with a (1) quick summary of your qualifications and (2) a writing sample of something you would submit to The Savile for publication.
